Parent-Toddler FAQs
Do you teach infants and toddlers?
We offer one-on-one, parent-toddler, private lessons.Does the parent come in the water?
Yes!What will be covered?
You will be introduced to a variety of instructional techniques, holding positions, games, songs and age appropriate goals. These goals include comfort in the aquatic environment, paddling, kicking, bubble blowing, floating, and safely entering and exiting the water. Will my infant learn to swim?
Not yet. Most toddlers do not become independent swimmers before the age of two or three years old. The skills you learn will help you prepare your child for instructor-taught lessons at the appropriate time. What happens after I take this lesson?
After taking a parent-toddler private lesson, you will be able to work with your child at your own pool, on your own schedule. Children learn these skills through constant repetition, so this lesson is a great option for anyone on a tight budget. How often should I practice with my child?
The more time spent in the water, the better! Is this a one-time, or a repeated lesson?
You may take this lesson once, or repeat it if you like.
