We do not cancel lessons based on forecasts alone. When thunder or lightning is observed, lessons pause for at least 30 minutes. Each new thunderclap restarts the 30-minute clock.

Weather Cancellation FAQs

Do You Cancel Lessons Based on the Forecast?: No. We do not cancel lessons based on forecasts alone — decisions are made from actual conditions at the pool. Weather can change quickly, so check this page again if conditions worsen.
What Happens When Thunder or Lightning Is Observed?: Lessons pause for at least 30 minutes. Each new thunderclap restarts the 30-minute clock. Any active delay is posted in the Current Status section above, by lesson location.
My Location Shows a Delay — Is My Lesson Still On?: Lessons are paused until the time shown. If the time shown includes your lesson time by more than five minutes, your lesson will be cancelled. If thunder continues, the pause is extended, so check this page again before heading to the pool.
How Will I Know If My Lesson Is Cancelled?: You will receive a text message, and your instructor will contact you if lessons are cancelled for weather or other issues.
Do I Get a Refund for a Weather Cancellation?: Yes. You will receive a full refund if lessons are cancelled for a pool closure, such as a weather closure.
